25+ years old. not really a dream build. but something you would want to fix up and have around for a while. something that could be bought here (in US). not rare as hell
mine would be: '70's honda civic

yee.
ive been looking for the classic S cars. S600,500,800 or what not. not real serious. they're real hard to come by.
i like this:
a guy in raleigh had an old school civ for like $300.. forgot the year. but he never got back to me. do a crazedlist.org search. my friend said he found a good many on CL.

One of my buddies in high school had a cherry CVCC that he received from one of his grandparents. That thing was as reliable as a new car and very cheap on gas. We made a roof basket out of old shopping carts for it one night (for carrying all the off road gear.) 12/16/2008 10:52:49 AM |

I've done the muscle car thing, the antique thing, the late-model american thing, messed around with VW's, so I guess next is a quick roadster of some sort. The AC bodies look good, but they're too common and scream kit car. Granted, there are a lot of $40,000 kit cars out there. 12/16/2008 6:25:55 PM |

several years ago I had almost 10 willys wagons and pickups in the yard. always wanted to restore one of them, but just ended up collecting them. I did a restomod on one with 1 tons, but sold it before I finished it.
I'd love to find a nice FJ45LV or Iron pig though. 12/16/2008 9:52:04 PM |

The point if a classic car build is to get something completely impractical.
If I wanted a practical car I'd buy one, not build it. 12/16/2008 10:00:52 PM |

Deloreans, Porsche 356's, Cobras, Camaros, Mustangs are all available in reproduction form. You don't even have to find an original, every single part is still being manufactured new. 12/16/2008 11:34:19 PM |

I'd like to own each of these when I have proper garage/warehouse space to keep them. No plans to build them myself when I could own a nice example of both cars for around $60k total (Cobra in kit form.)

EV2 is where it's at . . . no vinyl top and blackout in the hood scallops with black bumblebee stripe.
Quote : | "i that lead around thetop of the back window on that charger?" |
I think the lead is on the sail panel seam at the top of the quarter panel. What you are seeing is at the top of the back window is rust spots above the window trim. Stupid vinyl tops.
Here's a closeup of that area.
I think the lead is at the top of this sail panel.
Something is strange about this car. They didn't have R/Ts in 73 or 74. I guess the badge is just stuck on there.
