Making more than someone in state government isn't anything to be excited about.
If you're making less then you should be concerned...

State gov does have it's good side.
Half the private consulting foresters are living off of what they've saved or are doing shit like plumbing due to the economy.
My pay might not be the best, but it's decent and it doesn't take a roller coaster ride with the economy.
