This game matches the two programs that played for the 1974 NCAA National Championship. It's a big game against a ranked opponent. A win against Marquette would be huge for building confidence and a NCAA Tournament worthy resume. The game will be broadcast nationally on .

I heard that these dudes will be there for something during halftime. Who are they, what is that slab of wood they are holding, who's that man with the plaid jacket, and why are some of them holding up their index finger?



It'd be cool if the students/crowd dressed up in 70s garb and wore afros. I remember a few years back a guy sported a red plaid jacket at a Heritage game in Reynolds that honored Norm Sloan.

Nightmare matchup. They have 4 very good guards and we have a terrible backcourt.

Our best chance is to pound it in to Big Ben and give Tracy Smith a whole lot of minutes... Is Degand gonna be 100%? Because he needs to be...

IMO we have a much better chance to beat UF.

(and I saw your post about UConn... how could you be anything but impressed? They won on the road, 3000 miles away, pretty much without their best player for 3/4 of the game... if anything, I'm thoroughly convinced they could hang with UNC in an all neutral site.. plus they are one of two teams in the country that gets "UNC type officiating")

It may have been you. I'm not sure. This guy was sitting front row of the baseline student section seats on the front entrance side of Reynolds. I wish we still had the old, low rising stands that went all the way back to the upper deck seating. They weren't all that great for views, but they were loud when you stomped on them, and the chairs were easy to unhook and wave when the opposing team was shooting FTs.
