My appologies ... I don't mean to sound jaded. I love my wife dearly, but I have a lot of interests and she doesn't have as many. I go to karate classes 3 times a week, like to play music around town, go to shows, visit male friends, etc. She is more of a homebody and often doesn't want to come along.

I truely do enjoy my time with her. I also enjoy a lot of other things. Of course, time doing other things is time away from her. I think she sees my other interests as competition. She's always welcome to join me and we'll do whatever together, but she doesn't want to, so I take the blame - "You like playing music more than me don't you?". We make it a point to spend Saturday afternoons together (along with other times during the week), but she definatly spends more time at home alone than I do. We've been married a long time and love each other dearly, so it's not a question of it being a deal breaker, you just caught me at a bad time. I'm sure we'll find a happy medium.

I could speculate that women are raised more with the "happily ever after" syndrome - where finding a mate fulfills their life - but, that would be sexist. I do find a tendency though where men are off doing a lot of things, and women are asking for more of their time.

I'm trying to imagine how that would even possibly hurt. Was it a nerf football gun or some sort of nerf cannon? Maybe I'm not up on the latest nerf weaponry, but from what I remember of all things nerf he would have had to have been naked, spread eagle, and shot point blank on the sack for it to hurt.

^Isn't that the most damning thing; some people crave it more when they're stressed and some people go the other way you almost never manage to date someone who reacts the same as you do.
