I have had both, and I prefer my DirecTV for television.

You will not get any better internet thant TWC though, imo

yes, its worth it.

if you haggle and are smart enough, you can get free directv for like the first 4-5 months. Although it is a 2 year contract, it is far better than cable

Some people say "pop" and some people say "soda".

Seriously, the problem with satellite is that it only works when it's not raining. Find out if your new location carries Verizon FiOS and/or AT&T U-Verse and avoid Time-Warner's abuse of capitalism and the disappointing satellite companies.

And I will say that I have had nothing but pleasant experiences when I have had to call DirecTV customer service. I never sit on hold, and the people that answer speak English and are very nice.

Just do a search for TWC in Chit Chat if you want to see how Time Warner's customer service is.

^ and no, you don't pay extra for locals

I "borrow" it from my neighbor

But my satellite runs me $60 a month, and that is with HBO and the extended sports package. I think I get like 280 channels
