gah i couldn't stand him. I understand wanting to introduce new characters in case of a spin-off (an idea ABC has/had) but there was just too much of him in the first 2. I just felt like he was forced on me and didn't laugh at all.

i had read an interview with the creator Bill Lawrence that they wanted to set a more serious tone at the beginning of this season that matched that of the first couple seasons before things just got too off the wall. I can see they tried that with some of the first and all of the second, but i think they did it wrong. The serious tone was set by a story that had almost zero connection with any major storyline dealing with our major characters and their relationships. Plus any scrubs episode without Dr. Cox is a complete mistake.

I still liked the second episode and I didn't even notice Dr. Cox was missing from it. Imagine that!!! I do hope Dr. Kelso plays a larger role in upcoming episodes though.
