I'm looking for a desktop which I can use to output HD video to play dvds, stream music/movies, and use other web based applications. If you are have one for sale please let me know.

might be easier if you listed specific specs, you could probably make most any PC into a HTPC.

good idea. looking for something with HDMI out which can support 2 SATA drives or 1 SATA and 1 PATA. At least 1 gig of RAM (easy enough to upgrade when I need more). Needs to have dvd playback capabilities and run rather quietly. Doesnt need to be fancy, just meet these criteria.

Anyone got anything?

You're better off just buying the parts from newegg. For HDMI out you'll need a relatively new mobo/processor. If you go AMD you can do that for $80 for MOBO + processor. $16 for 2gb of ram. $30 for a cheap sata hard drive. $20 for optical... If you have any of those parts allready the price drops dramatically.

this is a good start but its dual core processor and mobo but no HDMI

Otherwise If you find a good deal on a cheap computer on here just buy the cheapest HDMI out video card on newegg you can find...

Like this one:

Some Advice though:

Go ahead and spend the money to put something nice together... If you want to watch blue-rays/whatever. Go ahead and spend the money to build something new. It doesnt have to be too expensive but you'll run into problems if you want to upgrade something older... wanna add a nice HTPC case... etc.
