Got cut off on 40 this morning and swerved to avoid getting hit. Swerved too fast, overcompensated, and ended up hitting the guard rail head on at 60+. Luckily traffic was light and no other cars were involved. Both airbags deployed, and while I'm no insurance adjustor, I'd wager this car is totaled. If that's the case, is anyone trying to buy some 15" OZ wheels?

That sucks about your car. If they would fit my e30 I'd try to trade you some drum equipment for them, but it looks like they're 4x114 bolt pattern and I'd need 4x100.

^That's already done. Got that done when I got the timing belt/water pump/misc other shit replaced a few weeks ago. AND it had a full tank of gas in it.

Yeah, I'm fine. Aside from being a bit shaken up and having a bit of a head and back ache, I'm fine. Some guys followed the guy who cut me off and got the tag number to the trooper. So once I get a copy of the police report with witness statements I can hopefully file a claim under the other guy's insurance. I'm not sure if that will do me any good since that is hard to prove (even with two witnesses) but I don't have any other options. I only had liability so my insurance is doing nothing for me. Not even covering a rental or anything.

Once I know for sure if the car is a complete loss or not though, the wheels will likely be for sale. I don't know that much else on the car would be worth trying to salvage.

Sometimes you try to do something good like swerving to miss an accident and sadly sometimes, you still get screwed in the end GL selling those rims. Glad you're okay.

Oh wait, I think I saw you there after the wreck. Were you east bound, wrecked at the median, near somewhere near Aviation Blvd? Talking on the cell phone at about 9:40 a.m. while the HP officer walked to his car?
