I found a rly good deal on a Nextel Blackberry 7100i PDA Smart Phone and i was wondering if i could use it with my sim card thru ATnT? is there anything i have to do or can do to make this work or no?

Normally sim chips are given out by the co. as they have the decoding stuff to access their network, so you normally dont want to swap them around.

more importantly, SIM cards are only used in GSM networks, which ATT is, and nextel is not.

wrong. nextel does use sim cards.

whether it's used for the same thing as they are on GSM networks or not I really don't know..but they do have them.

hmmm, you're right.

I had thought Nextel was IDEN/CDMA only, but the Nextel world phones support GSM.
