I think today (Martin Luther King, JR. Day) and tomorrow (Barack Obama inauguration as the first black president for the United States of America) give us all a message of hope that peace and equality can be achieved; that all our legal dreams can be achieved; that all of the evil can be challenged.
In 45 years, the dream have became on reach. Today I see black students carrying their laptops, notebooks, ... as next presidents of US; I see workers, wolfline drivers, ... as fathers and mothers of next presidents of US; but the dreams will never end. The dream started by single woman shouting "Tell them about the dream, Martin!".
Today, I would like to invite you all to share your legal dreams for a better world and a better life! 1/19/2009 10:56:32 PM |

I dream of a world where the phrase "the dream have became on reach" makes any sort of sense in the English language.
No, actually, I don't.

If there's one thing I love about inclusion, it's the ever-present willingness to ridicule people who speak English as a second language. 1/19/2009 11:59:32 PM |

equality will never be achieved as long as theres associations such as the NAACP on our backs about every single tiny thing that alludes to racism. 1/20/2009 12:23:54 AM |

seriously, dude. yeah, his posts can be painful to read, but he gets his point across. Of course his English isn't perfect--not only is it not his first language, it's not like he's a native speaker of a related language.1/20/2009 9:02:31 AM |

I can talk about my dreams, but let me talk first about three things that draw my attention: 1- The huge number of innovations, science and scientists produced by Germans during and before the world war II, which helped Germans to increase their resources. 2- The Moore's law that size and price of transistors will exponential decrease. 3- X Prize program (http://www.xprize.org/), which show no-limitation on human ability.
This shows how ineffective we are in peacetime. Why every industry doesn't have an ambition road map such as semiconductors industry? Why we are not doubling the strength of the material every 4-5 years for example? Why we need to wait so long to use what we can do today? Why we don't realize beyond few kms under the shell of this earth? Why we don’t produce energy directly from the sun? Why we don't utilize all the lands, the water, and the infinite space we have? Why Windows OS still suck after all of these years!?
The answer is that we are trying, but we need more human resources and bright minds to achieve it! But why we don’t realize the potential of every 6.7 billions person living on this earth? Why we don’t double our college graduates every 4 years for say? Why we don’t provide world-class education for everyone on this planet? Why we need to be in the educational system tens of years to realize our god given potential?
I believe we need to have answers for these questions and work together to solve it. With growing economy in China and India (almost half the population of the earth), we will need more resources in order to avoid a war on existence resources. All the countries already have nuclear weapons have an intention to use it if they "need" to, rather than US that already used it!
That is why I have a dream...

You sound like that one broad from Ms. America who babbled incoherently about maps and Africa.
Quote : | "“I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uhmmm, some people out there in our nation don't have maps and uh, I believe that our, I, education like such as, uh, South Africa, and uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uhhh, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for us.”" |
