Why has nobody told me they were releasing a dragonball live action movie??



I really like how it keeps just the basic storyline and doesn't try to match details perfectly. When most movies try to follow a book/cartoon, they often fail by just trying to be too close. Given a lot of freedom, it tends to work out better. Have to wait and see if this holds true for this one too.

I grew up on DBZ, but this is just cheesy. I think the old live-action DBZ movie will still be better than this one.

i've only played one final fantasy game but i thought the movie was pretty cool

i have watched most of the DB, DBZ, DBGT shit so if they did some super computer aided CGI stuff like the FF movie, i'd definitely watch

i think the reason why FF movie sucked is a lot of ppl probably expected it to be somewhat similar to one of the games. and even though it didn't the storyline was kinda bland.

i thought the graphics of the FF movie were dope...i have no idea how it related to any FF game or not...but I think if they did a DB movie in that same type CGI, it could be good...cause honestly how else would you show Frieza's transformations or some of the other effects with live action

I don't see how anyone could stick with the Dragonball series past half-way through Z.

But, I remember watching these cartoons since back in like 4th grade, so i'll probably see it for nostalgia factor, even though it looks absolutely horrible.

Looks pretty mediocre. Everything was wrapped up in Dragonball and Dragonball Z. I never watched Dragonball GT, but GT was bollocks anyways.

I didn't see Gohan, Vegetta (sp?), Krellian, The old guy on that tiny ass planet (if he was in the video he didn't seem as frail as he should be), or any of the villains from any of the shows. Whats the point of using the franchise if you aren't going to utilize at least the majority of the characters? Krellian was in all of the series isn't that a little big significant?

Highly rated movies = utter bullshit documentary put-you-to-sleep type movies
Low rated movies = Hilarious and/or full of explosions.

Was anyone really expecting it to be good? Given how ridiculously over the top the cartoon was (which is okay given that anime/cartoons are supposed to be over the top), I'm surprised this was even made into a live action film.
