My gf and I are trying to find a 3 night stay in Emerald Isle during our spring break. I have to work earlier in the week and we both have classes so we can't go the full week. I've tried googling and have sent emails to several sites, but does anyone on here know of anywhere, or hell does anyone on here have somewhere they are trying to rent out? 1/24/2009 9:55:58 AM |

When are you trying to go? Depending on when it is and if our renovation is done by then, I might be able to come through. We have a 3 bedroom (4th with pull out couch) and 4 full bathroom beach house in Pine KNoll Shores (between Atlantic Beach/Morehead & Emerald Isle), which is about a mile from the Aquarium. 1/24/2009 12:49:51 PM |

We wanted to stay April 16th through 19th (Check in thursday night, check out sunday morning). We ideally are looking for something one bedroom, we are poor students (well i'm a student, shes a teacher) so we couldnt really afford something 3 bedroom, but thanks 1/25/2009 11:44:09 AM |

heh, don't worry
there are plenty of late 70's/80's houses that are waterfront. with the economy tanking, I bet you could find a decent place to stay on the beach for not too much.
seriously though, if you're going with a realtor, EIR basically lists the entire island. I'd hit them up first to get a feeling for prices before looking elsewhere. 1/25/2009 11:48:39 AM |

I don't know if you realized but that is the week after easter (when all the kids are out of school). I am from that area and you are going to have a VERY hard time finding a condo or house for PART of that week. Your best bet is a hotel or bed and breakfast (there aren't very many). Usually the only time of year that you can rent by the night in EI is Dec-Feb. Here are the only two B&Bs that I know of:
Emerald Isle Inn Bed and Breakfast $$$ 502 Ocean Dr., Emerald Isle (252) 354-3222
Harborlight Guest House $$$$ 332 Live Oak Dr., Cape Carteret (252) 393-6868, (800) 624-VIEW (8439)
I hope this helps. 1/26/2009 10:30:32 AM |
