if this is a serious thread, then yes I'm interested in putting together a team through Parks and Rec

I could find us a sponsor to cover jerseys and possibly offset some of the registration expenses.

the other Parks and Rec league I'm playing in will be playing on Tuesdays and Thursdays and we play at the Walnut Creek softball complex

let's get a list of people together and post your availabilty/what time of night is best (6-8pm)/what position/whether or not you suck at sports






BTW, signups need to be turned in about a month from now...so by around Valentine's, we need to have ~12 committed to play

I might be interested....I played baseball from when I could barely walk until all the way through high school and when I played intramurals I pretty much hit at least one hr per game and I can play any position but pitcher

I would be available monday - thursday nights for the most part

Is this co-ed?? If so, you maybe can count me in! I have played in USSSA ball at Walnut Creek on my mama's team before and I have played softball since I was 4. Tee ball, rec ball, middle school, high school, church ball, and USSSA.

yes sir this thead is serious. coed maybe, but id like to either find a team that needs players, or find some one that would like to find a sponsor ship. ive never coached a team, but have played ball for many yearsdont know if i want to play for cary, or raleigh parks and rec though. ive only played in raleigh, when i was growing up, the players were better than cary.

I'd like to play. I can play just about any night. In the past I've played mostly first and second base, but I'm comfortable anywhere in the infield or catcher, and I have some experience pitching (curveball and knuckleball).

games will not be any earlier than 6. games last one hour and one hour only. if every one is 100% serious we will have to find a field to practice on, on sundays.

like i said guys this is the first time Ive organized a softball team, so bare with me as i get all the info,

REALLY!?!?!? I mean there are PLENTY of girls (like myself) that are HELLA competitive and play better than some guys. That's a bullshit comment. Shit like that makes me mad. You must have never seen USSSA or NSA ball.

I even played on a co-ed team in Fayetteville (way down past Methodist College) a few years ago and we beat every team in the league and won all-state.

You could try to get a co-ed team together, but it would require 5 girls playing a night.

The Raleigh co-ed league has to have 2 OF, 2 IF, & 1 P/C girl. You are allowed the same # of each guys.

I doubt you are going to be able to find that many girls on here, but you can try.
