Dom Capers is the new DC

We're running a 3-4 now

Kampan is moving to OLB

Kampman apparently used to play LB in college and I'd imagine he would be up for the challenge, though he could be questionable in coverage.

Meanwhile, we need a NT and another DE pretty bad to have any hope of the defense being decent.

Let's get this out of the way first

But, yeah, I like the idea of Kampman as a rushing LB a lot

DT is a much bigger need.

Kiper has the Packers taking Malcolm Jenkins in the first round, which makes no sense at all. There are already a ton of CBs on the roster.

Then again, if this means we cut Jarrett Bush, I'll be happy as a clam.

The Packers D sucked this year. They need to draft heavy on the D side of things.

The main issue with the D was injuries. We really never got over losing Jenkins and the lack of DT depth killed us. Hawk also regressed due to injury, Barnett went on IR, and KGB was done. We got absolutely nothing we could consistently build on from our front seven.

So Ernie I remember I asked you when Favre went to the Jets if you or other Packers fans had animosity towards him and you didn't, which I get

But what about now that the drama queen is playing for a division rival (who also happens to have a great defense and running game)? Are his legendary days playing for the Packers starting to fade from your memory in favor of his current shenanigans?

Favre gets a paycheck, the Packers get two wins

Everybody is a winner here

As far as his waffling on retirement vs. his career with the Packers, no, I don't give a shit if he wants to play forever. He's still my favorite NFL'er of all-time, still one of the top QBs to ever play the game. If someone wants to pay him money to play the game he loves, how can you hate on him for suiting up?

because its a divisional rival...its not necessarily like Julius Hodge transferring to UNC and playing basketball for them, but its also not a nice team far away in another conference like the Jets

i'll save my favre bashing for other threads, just didnt know if your opinion of him had changed in the last month or so

Favre doesn't owe the Packers anything

Ted Thompson more or less gave him das boot. He's free to make a living in any city in America as far as I'm concerned. Any Packers fan who doesn't get that is... well, gforce.

[Edited on August 19, 2009 at 7:40 PM. Reason : Also, there aren't any real rivalries in professional sports. That's another thread, though.]

I guess when the Panthers joined the league, people from the Carolinas who were fans of another NFL team had a couple of options. They could embrace their hometown team in favor of their former team, making their former team their 2nd favorite. They could embrace them somewhat and make them their 2nd favorite team, remaining loyal to their original team. Or they could just say fuck them and hate their hometown team.

I don't really hate the Panthers, it's just fun to make people angry on the internet sometimes.
