has anyone else seen problems with this on w2k3 r2?

SNMP basically starts and then stops a second later. i attached the daemon to a debugger and it halts when loading one of the extension agents (the Dell OM Array Manager) because that agent can't find VXLIC.dll anywhere, even though it's in the same directory as the library in question...

you can fix it either by putting a copy of VXLIC.dll in the windows dir or somewhere else in the path var or removing the agent key from the service parameters in the registry, but obviously these are just masking the real cause...

can anyone think of anything that could cause this? i'm stumped.

durrr i'm an idiot

path var can only have 255 characters

only half the path to the directory containing the dll was actually IN the var.
