so i was washing my hands with my soap pumper thing. and while i still had the water on, i picked it up and put it under the water to make sure the bottle doesnt get grossand i notice that it says "THIS FINISHED PRODUCT NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS"i'm wondering why they'd take the time to add "finished" to the bottle unless they cleaned rats with my soap when before it made it to the store answers welcome from anyone except peta peoplethanks!

seems likely that one or more ingredients were tested on animals

Yeah I've noticed that and wondered too...

they probably test ingredients in the soap, but not the actual soap
1/27/2009 8:20:49 PM
they get nervous and give wrong answers
1/27/2009 8:21:08 PM
they'd be better off not adding shit to their bottle than that

"finished" is a weasel word.http://www.kenrockwell.com/business/weasel-words.htm

also does anyone else do that thing i do with the bottle, or is that just weird?

well, many products can say they are not tested on animals now because the testing has already been done in the past for similar products so they know it works. They could have tested one of the ingredients but not the "finished" product.

technically humans are animals so we are testing it right nowI'm Big Business and i approved this message.

^yes, humans are animals, however the product has already been tested.

yeah, they probably got the ingredients from a variety of vendors, and they cannot vouch that those companies didn't use it on animals. So the combination of all the ingredients for the final product wasn't used on animals.
