^^I caught a live concert from Charlotte on XM last night but I didn't realize it was actually the concert from last night! Awesome, does that mean I'll be able to hear the Raleigh concert on XM tomorrow night?
I couldn't justify taking 2 days off of work to see DMB tonight and then Buffett tomorrow night, meaning I'd have to take Thurs and Fri off of work. So since I already had DMB tickets, it ends up that I'm going to DMB tonight, and we're going to see Buffett at the Labor Day weekend show in Bristow VA.

if it had been on a weekend, i would've been all over it. 4/23/2009 7:43:12 PM |

last night was much more tame than the other shows i've been to. it seemed like it was kids galore.
but of course, it was still a blast. his songs never ever get old. and i just love it when he does Fins because the entire audience participates and it's such an awesome sight to see.
Duke you gotta see a show before he retires from concerts for good. last night was my mom's first time and she had a great time. 4/24/2009 9:39:17 AM |

Definitely more tame than in the past. I've only seen him 3 times, but of the 3 this was the most tame and also probably the "worst" show, but it was still pretty good. He played some obscure songs which most of the crowd was lost on, but when I heard Stars on the Water and My Head Hurts I about lost it. 4/24/2009 10:24:11 AM |

yeah there were a few songs i didn't know, which shocked me. i think last summer's show was the best i've seen. i'm pretty sure i knew every song he played.
during Brown Eyed Girl, i noticed the camera panned down to a little girl on her daddy's shoulders in one of the first few rows. she couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old, but she was singing along to every word. it was just precious 4/24/2009 12:35:01 PM |

Some of you haters need to listen to some of his stuff besides "Fins", "Cheeseburger in Paradise", and "Margaritaville".
to start with, check out Havana Daydreamin', Banana Republics, Tin Cup Chalice, and Tryin' To Reason With Hurricane Season...those are some of my lesser-known favorites. If you don't like it, you don't like it, but it doesn't all sound like the played out songs you've heard fortyeleven times.

^^He Went To Paris is also a good one, though more popular than the others you mentioned.
i went last summer with some friends, one of which was practically a card-carrying member of the I HATE BUFFETT club, and was likely only going to appease his wife.
after the concert, he admitted that he had an awesome time just because of the environment. love the music or hate it, it's the show and the long-time parrotheads that make the experience.
but i won't lie. i could scream "SALT, WHERE'S THE DAMN SALT" a million times and never get tired of it.

his concerts never dissapoint. Biggest crowd I have ever seen at Walnut Creek. Last years was awesome and it was like 102 degrees, this years weather was PERFECT. To those who hate on it, the environment for a buffett concert is something I could never explain, I just wish people were like that all year long. Here's to 2010! 4/25/2009 2:04:11 AM |

sure, and so is A Pirate Looks At Forty...I was just mentioning a few good ones that most people aren't familier with. I'm a much bigger fan of these six songs than any of the Fins/Cheeseburger/Margaritaville stuff.4/25/2009 12:22:56 PM |
