Won't be doing it for some time, but went to NCSU for 4 years, switched majors once, decided I was tired of school, dropped out and enlisted, how hard/easy will it be for me to come back when I want to?
Also, would I get to opportunity to begin a new transcript, not that my grades were bad, but some stuff I'd like to retake for a grade since a lot of the information I have no doubt forgotten about. 2/2/2009 10:32:45 AM |

you haven't been gone long enough to start a new transcript it is pretty easy, you can apply for readmission online and assuming you were not on academic probation or anything you pretty much just have to pay $50 and are good to go 2/2/2009 10:50:45 AM |

Would there be anyway I could retake certain classes for grades? Even if the grades are just averaged with the previous attempt? 2/2/2009 11:35:38 AM |

neg, you could get the counseling office to support a withdraw for a particular semester, but they won't let you pick and choose which classes to retake
[Edited on February 2, 2009 at 12:24 PM. Reason : or you could just retake it and have both grades show up] 2/2/2009 12:23:32 PM |

My main concern is being able to retake those classes for grades, GI Bill wouldn't cover auditing. So having both grades show up is fine.
Is readmission highly selective or is pretty much apply and get in? 2/2/2009 1:11:53 PM |

you can always take a class again, its just not going to overwrite your grade 2/2/2009 1:48:23 PM |

as i understand it, readmission into your former major is automatic unless you were suspended 2/2/2009 1:59:45 PM |

I didn't have any trouble getting back in after taking about a year off. Simply a matter of filling out a form and paying a small amount of $$. 2/3/2009 5:18:12 PM |

It's not hard at all to get back in, basically as long as you didn't get suspended, they should let you back in. 2/16/2009 7:48:21 PM |
