I lost mine. I just reformatted the laptop, and couldn't find the right audio driver for some reason. I went to the Dell website to download it, but it keeps giving me the wrong driver, even after I put in the service tag. The driver should be sigmatel.

1) The E1505 is a piece of shit. I wish I hadn't bought it.

2) Have you installed the other drivers? Namely, the modem driver?

if that still doesn't work, tell us the PCI vendor and device IDs.

go to device manager, double click your sound card (probably listed as Unknown Device), click Details, change the dropdown to Hardware IDs, copy and paste the stuff that shows up in here.

^^ That's the driver I use.

I've found the install order matters.

hmm, the crazy thing is that it doesn't even list my sound card on device manager. It should be under "sound, video and game controllers" section, right?
