actually thats exactly WHY I feel like he acted like an ass. Just last month at work I got chewed out for something being messed up and late on my project that is going to end up costing like 7 million dollars and it wasn't my fault at all, I turned the stuff into the guy I was supposed to 2 weeks ahead of time (several months worth of work) and he never turned them in. Of course he lied and said I gave them to him late (im sure him being older and me being <2 years out of school he thought I would be an easy scapegoat). Needless to say I was easily as pissed as Bale was here, and it also might be safe to say that more time was put in and a higher cost associated with my work issue than Bale having to redo this scene.

I absolutely agree that he had a VERY legit reason to be pissed for him doing this, especially more than once. But sort of like jaybee said, there gets to be a point in that video where he is just repeating the same stuff over and over and theres no way it is going to be any more productive or constructive than the first 30 seconds were, and it even sounds like he made an attempt to get physical over it. dude needs to lighten up. i know not everyone will agree, and maybe I am better at controlling my emotions than some other people but I just cant see this being something I personally consider rational or acceptable

that wasnt part of the statement I was responding to, but if you can prove that this scene they were working on that day was one where he was supposed to be pissed off I might cut him a little slack. I understand where you are coming from, and no I dont have acting experience to compare it to; the only things I could think of is work related stuff (which was a big issue) or sports related stuff when someone else has lost something for me. But approaching it with any personal experience I have and the way I live, I had a hard time finding anything about this "badass." I guess I can't form any other opinion on this beyond that since I won't be in the exact position he is in to compare

Okay, from what I heard, beginningto end, this lasted less than three minutes.Being pissed off and ranting for three minutes really isn't that bad. And he was calming down about halfway through it, and then the DP started trying to say some shit to justify it, which is when Bale really when off and tried to go after him.

If it was some stupid PA or something, he might have been less mad, but the DP should know where the fuck the camera is pointed.

Bale might have gone a little overboard, but sometimes when you fuck up, you just shut your mouth and take your lumps, and the DP didn't do that. The truth is, whether you like it or not, Christian Bale is the only thing holding this movie together with even a shot at success, and you are going to have to keep him happy. Why the fuck he took this role I don't know, but he's an intense actor who takes shit seriously, and sometimes that means he's gonna blow up.

If you don't want Bill Parcells to yell at you, don't fuck up on the field.

I work at Subway and there are always these FUCKING AMATEURS who come and and break my fucking concentration while I'm trying to make a fucking sandwich. They'll start listing the fucking meats and toppings they want before they even tell me WHAT FUCKING BREAD they want it on and whether it's FUCKING SIX INCHES OR A FOOTLONG. FUCK!

I'm a sandwich artist. And my coworkers will just leave the fucking sandwich papers in the microwave--so fucking unprofessional. It breaks my fucking concentration when fucking assholes are giving me their order wrong, and fucking amateurs are leaving their fucking sandwich papers lying around, and not fucking wiping the mustard off the knives.
