Another useful link.

The Ol' Ball Coach stole one away from Southern Cal.

"Brown was one of the first prospects to commit to the Gators in this class. The West Gadsden (Quincy, Fla.) player is the No. 23 prospect in the class and the fifth-ranked recruit in the Sunshine State.

Four-star wide receiver Alshon Jeffery switched from one USC to another Wednesday morning.

Jeffery announced he will sign with South Carolina after being committed to Southern California since the summer.

Jeffery is the fourth-ranked player in South Carolina out of Calhoun County (St. Matthews, SC).

Wow that actually looks pretty nice. I was looking around trying to find something with live coverage. WRAL has this one for triangle students, but none of them are coming to NCSU:

Rivals says that he is 6-6 275. He'll still need to beef up some though. I think his all-star game coach said that he may even be 6-7 now.

10:40 a.m. DE Sam Montgomery just made his announcement on ESPNU, and the rich are getting richer. The No. 2 defensive end in the country selected the LSU Tigers over several other powers in the Southeast. In the days leading up to his decision, it sounded as though the South Carolina prep star was going to play for Butch Davis at UNC.

^^ Yep, most thought Montgomery was a UNC lean but apparently he really wants to play with his buddy Richardson. Oh well.

I wish I could be at home parked in front of my 46" flat panel HDTV with ESPNU on, and a ham and cheese sandwhich in my hands. And I'm talking a good ham and cheese sandwhich on a garlic bread roll, with swiss and cheddar, smoked ham, slightly warmed in the microwave for 15 seconds. Mmmm...I'm getting hungry.

Why does everyone hate on Czajkowski?

He went 15/18 FGs and didn't miss an extra point and this was only his sophomore year.

^we didn't get a new kicker, we got a new punter. Ward is a punter. Czajkowski is serviceable.....they didn't ask him to kick many deep ones last year.

^Because we had no faith in him for the longer kicks. His longest made all year was 42. Having a guy who can potentially make a 47-50 yarder can effect the entire game.

He missed from 49 against SCar and only attempted 2 more over 40 all year (41,42, made them both).

But there were multiple times when we went for it on 4th down not because we thought we could make it, but because we had to because our kicker was shit (we were 6-16 on 4th down)

thats one of the stupidest things posted in this thread^

we went for it when it was a close chance or big time need to make it on 4th

other times we either kicked a FG or PUNTED which is what this kicker is

please do your research before you come in here asking OMGWTF is TOB doing?

[Edited on February 4, 2009 at 4:06 PM. Reason : there is a thing called punting, which we did many times we couldnt kick a FG]

I'm not criticizing TOB...I'm critizing Czajkowski.

And we wouldn't have to punt so much if our kicker could make it anywhere from our side of the 50.

^seriously??? how many fucking college kickers do you know that can make a FG "Anywhere from our side of the 50"???

Gimme a kicker that can consistently make FG's b/t 35-45 yds and i'll be happy.

jesus, if the kid is kicking inside our 50 then he must have some freak of nature leg

the only college kid that i can think of that could hit from that length consistently was Janikowski at FSU

Quote :

I was talking about him saying our kicker was terrible...he wasnt that bad really, pretty decent.

and a good chance is 4&1 or less...thats what i would call a good chance or when we, of course, HAD to go for it.

I bet in reality on trying on 4th 16 times is pretty low compared to other teams in the nation, possibly, ACC. & n

How about just in the ACC?

FSU - Graham Gano (5-5 in the 40's, 5-7 in the 50's)
Miami - Matt Bosher (2-3 in the 50's)
VT - Dustin Keys (6-10 over 40)

And then Duke had this Joe Surgan guy last year who only came out for the 50+ shots (2-4)...but I think he's graduating.

And earlier I meant to say from the opponent's side of the 50, the side we're trying to score on.
