I've got everything you need for a ball minus the snake itself


- 10gal tank with clamping lid and heat pad attached underneath
- mid-size hide
- natural wood branch (bought from pet supply, safe for captive reptiles)
- poseable artificial "branch"
- ~2/3 bag Repti-Bark brand fir bark substrate, enough to fill it once with some left over
- water bowl
- cloth transport sack, keeps him chilled out when moving him around or cleaning his terrarium




everything shown here plus the substrate and minus the snake and overhead lamp (we were too cheap to keep that house warm in the winter so I added a little more heat for him sometimes with that lamp, otherwise the heat pad on the tank is just fine)

All cleaned and ready for use. I raised that ball in it for a few years, little guy has moved on to a higher plane...All you'd need to do is set it up, buy a snake and drop him in.

45 buckaroos if you pick it up or live somewhere in the area...50 if I have to drive far. PM me if interested

^ 10-gallon is WAY too small for anything but a VERY young ball

balls don't require a large environment...of course certain breeds do for stretching/digestion and exercise, but balls aren't one of them. as long as you give them enough space to provide heated and unheated areas for temp. regulation, as well as a proper hide and plenty of water/moisture, they're good

hell a ball python will do fine in a tupperware box, a terrarium is luxury living

I've had one about 9 years now, but now that I am out of school and have cats/work/gf, it is getting 0 attention and I have been thinking of doing something with it before the temp rises and it starts eating again. I don't know its sex and haven't trained it to eat anything but live. If your interested pm me.

a 10 gallon aquarium isn't gonna suffice for all sizes of ball pythons. if you've got a ball python in the 3-5 ft range, you're not gonna be able to provide space for a water bowl and hide and still expect the snake to move, much less properly thermoregulate.

get up on your animal care. things have come a long way in the past few decades, but there are still people out there putting out the same old bullshit: "it'll only get as big as the cage you keep it in." not saying these are the words you put out there, and it's true that tupperware boxes are commonly used in commercial keeping/breeding...but they make some damn big tupperware boxes these days.

and theres your rant from someone who prefers well-spaced, naturalistic setups.
