They'll prolly have Neftali Feliz and Derek Holland both up by 2010 who will hopefully give them a shot in the arm as far as pitching is concerned. 2/9/2009 1:24:29 PM |

I'm hoping that Brandon McCarthy stays healthy all year. He could actually be pretty good and having one decent pitcher in their starting rotation would be a huge plus. 3/16/2009 3:17:48 PM |

their mascot was on tww. he won the ncaa mascot championship as mr. wuf and then played wool e. bull. i helped him load the rental truck when he was moving from raleigh to texas. that was last year. i wonder if he's still there.

not by a landslide, but i'd take him over them
also The Natural doesn't have anything on this guy

hamilton with one homer and a .273 BA, and 13 SOs hes def in a slump.
6-8 second place in AL West. they beat TOR, the first game in the series, only hope they can make up tis game with the bats tonight against league leader TOR at home. 4/23/2009 9:09:26 AM |

^His BA is .226, not .273. It was nice to see Derek Holland in action though. He's gonna be a beast.

Kinsler obviously gets the team MVP after a couple weeks into the season, but Nelson Cruz is also playing well
it just sucks for Texas that their best pitcher by far is their closer 4/23/2009 11:45:13 AM |

I'm hoping A Jones can come around a bit this year and Texas can trade him for another prospect or 2. That should be the final piece to their 2010-2011 puzzle I'd think. 4/23/2009 1:21:03 PM |
Motiak All American 1498 Posts user info edit post |
Yeah, Frank Francisco is a beast. I'm really looking forward to Holland getting in the starting rotation though. A lefty that sits at 94 and can hit 98 with decent stuff is gonna be beast. 4/23/2009 1:34:07 PM |
packboozie All American 17452 Posts user info edit post |
Looks to me like they would try and trade a David Murphy or a Marlon Byrd for a starting pitcher of some sorts. Both of those would be starting OFs for nearly any team. 4/23/2009 1:37:17 PM |
ElGimpy All American 3111 Posts user info edit post |
Another 9th inning win. Down 2-0 Blalock hit a solo shot, Muphy doubled, followed by a walkoff by Davis.
Also another strong outing by Harrison...his scoreless streak ended, but there's nothing wrong with a complete game win with 7k and only 2 ER
In other news I found a radio station that doesn't seem to care or know about the MLB rules and streams the games on their website...huzzah for me

for a guy as talented as Jones I think it all boils down to confidence and mechanics in the end. Sure people get older, but with that kind of talent you don't fall off the planet that fast without there being a better reason for it than age. 7/13/2009 2:29:46 PM |

I think Jones just got really out of shape and his timing was really off. So when he got back into shape and Jaramillo helped him regain his timing, he rounded back into form somewhat. 7/13/2009 2:55:39 PM |
