you can buy a brand new t500 from lenovo (using EPP - which isn't that hard to come by) with almost identical specs for less than $1300 - only noticeable differences are that it has a 160gb hdd and a 256mb ATI Mobility Radeon 3650

$1200 is way too high. I bought a t61p last summer with a little bit less specs for $750 brand new.

100 GB?

Great processor, L2 cache, memory, and graphics... but 100 GB harddisk?

I didn't think they made laptops with such high specs and just 100 GB space. All the laptops I have ever seen for sale in stores with those specs last year and this year have had 200 GB, 250 GB, or 320 GB harddisks.
