^don't know what you mean, my understanding was that only 7 episodes were made for the first season (even though AMC ordered 9 or 12) because of the writers strike. I don't think there were any episodes already made when the first season aired that AMC was saving or anything like that.

Was out of the country when this came out last year. Watched the Season 1 marathon last time, and now I too Can Not Wait.

this isn't really a review of the 2nd season, but it is a good overview of why the show is so good
http://www.salon.com/ent/tv/iltw/2009/03/08/breaking_bad

I guess I forgot something - did Walt go the entire first season without telling his wife about the cancer? That's what the article implied. From what I remember, though, she found out and started scrambling to get money for his treatments, like trying to get some from his old, rich chemistry buddies.

right, right.
That's what I thought. And he shaved his head too.

this is what threw me though
Quote :
"he first season yanked viewers into Walt's crumbling life with brute force, taking us along for one depraved encounter after another with Albuquerque's unsavory drug underworld. All the while, Walt neglected to inform his wife, Skyler (Anna Drum), or son, Walt Jr. (R.J. Mitte), of his diagnosis, not to mention his freelance career as a meth lab chemist."

That implies to me that Walk kept his diagnosis secret, just like his meth business, from his family the whole time

Need to go back and watch it again b/c it was so good anyway.

I think AMC.com streamed them last year.

and, of course, there are always torrents.

I love this show, and I'm stoked it came back.

I just watched the premiere.

It is so kickass.

It's so real, too...there are parts that really get under my skin...not so much the violent stuff but the day-to-day shit--it's just like, man, life sucks sometimes, most of the time actually.

This seems like something that I should start watching. Unfortunately it's not on Hulu or a similar site (if you've found one... please do share) so I'll never manage to actually see a full episode when it airs.

^ looks like the whole episode is here http://www.amctv.com/videos/breaking-bad/

great start to the season. It's almost exactly like a continuation of last season - same great writing, acting, plots, etc.

and some great lines:
[talking about castor beans]
"we are going to process them into risen"
"..... rice 'n beans"
"Risen"

Is there any way to see the first episode of season 2 now? My parents missed it and I already deleted it from DVR.

how the fuck does CATWOMAN qualify for "American Movie Classics"

Return to the House on Haunted Hill was on the other day, so I guess Catwoman is a classic compared to that.

wow, damn....

most of the episode was pretty slow, but holy shit, what an ending.
There's no way Hank doesn't get on Walt's trail pretty close this season.

And the opening scene before the credits was some straight-up Oliver Stone Natural Born Killers shit.
