you knowafter medical shows being on for decadesthe fact that they're not 100% accurate is BRAND FUCKING NEW[Edited on February 21, 2009 at 11:20 AM. Reason : btw the whole concept of the show is garbage, but you put it aside b/c house is entertaining]

yeah, im at the point where i ignore the medical mysteries and watch for the soap opera. the medical plot is 100% predictable at least 90% of the time.

palp = by palpation (you do it this way if you don't have a stethoscope handy, but you can only get the systolic pressure, hence the "##/palp")and she looked over at the monitor to get the pt's pressure]

what's a pt?

by touchi.e. inflate the cuff until you can't feel a pulse in the distal extremity, let off pressure, when the pulse returns, that's your systolic pressurethe  was because she looked at the monitor and then stated that the pt's pressure was 80/palp

i seeand what does desated mean? and why are they treating an arthropod? also, what kind of monitor was it? and are they selling it? i could use a new one
2/21/2009 4:58:22 PM
Jokes on you for watching House.

desat = desaturate, as in o2 blood gas levels. typically it's a good thing to have oxygen in your blood. when someone desats significantly in a very short amount of time, it's a sign that something's gone very, very wrong.the monitor was an mrx if i'm not mistakenPLAY GAMES ON THAT SHIT MANG
