I'm hosting a lunch event on a Saturday for my bridesmaids and would love some more ideas. So far I have Midtown & Bar 115, Vivace & Coquette. Unfortunately Glenwood Grill, Cafe Luna, Porter's & Frazier's are not open for lunch on Saturday, so they are out.

I eat at Nofo's a lot, so I want to stay away from that. I can't go to Bella Monica. What else would ya'll recommend for lunch on a Saturday? I prefer Raleigh but Chapel Hill & Durham suggestions are welcome too. Thanks.

I did a search for "lunch", and most threads gave bar/deli recommendations and that's not what I'm looking for. Looking for a sit down, nicer place, with the option of a private room although not required, and the key being open for lunch on a Saturday.

If you like italian and want to go to Cary, may I suggest Biaggi's? I had my Bridesmaid's Luncheon there (which also included mothers and grandmothers). They have a nice room in the back that seats up to 12 people I think. And the food is phenomenal. They told me the minimum room charge is $150, so if you spend less than that before tax and tip, then they have to charge you a "room fee" to get up to the $150, but I had about 9 people so that wasn't a problem by the time we added in cocktails for some and appetizers.

yay, glad to help! i'm actually going there tomorrow with a few coworkers for my birthday lunch! it's just a mile from my office so that's usually where we celebrate birthdays and stuff.

What about The Globe (on Glenwood) i think it is open for lunch everyday

http://www.globeraleigh.com/

i think it is pretty cool and they do events and they have like a separate room that you could maybe score!

oh this is a bar but it is cool inside and they have a separate wine room and it is "classy" looking inside.

edit: ok so it doesn't look like they are open for lunch saturday, per the website, but i'd call just to confirm, because it is a pretty cool place.

It's a bridesmaids' luncheon, and the bride or mother of the bride (maybe an aunt or close friend of the bride/MOB) hosts. In this case, my mom and I are hosting.

Casalinga has their buffet on Saturday, it's killer. There's a room in the back if you want privacy.

I like the Rockford, too, are they open on Saturday?

rockford IS good, but it isn't as nice as like the coquette, vivace, etc. it is more funky. i really like it, but you might be pressed for privacy there as it is pretty small. i THINK they can accommodate a party of 10, but you would probably want to call and check.

it is totally delicious though and inexpensive, but the food is really really good.

EDIT: this is kind of lame, but would like PF Changs have a more private room in it? the food is still good, for a chain. but w/o a private room/table away from the main part, it is pretty loud and wouldn't be that fun.

tir na nog has brunch on saturdays i believe, dunno if that would be something you'd be interested in.

lucky 32 maybe?!
