Once we switched and put Javi on Vasquez, he wasn't scoring at will. I think we tried to play bigger guys on him all night (Fells, CJ) and got burned. I'd expect it to be different next time.

Also, maybe next time we play them, Costner will show up.

I swear it feels like we're the only team in college basketball who gets disrespected like that, and now on our home fucking floor twice in the same season.

I know sidney has too much class to say something about it, but if I were him I'd send the fucking bench at the next player who tried that shit against us. Its the biggest sign of disrespect you can give another team short of a couple of nut shots. Should we have been playing defense? sure, but thats not the point. It doesn't happen because you don't disrespect your opponents like that. Vasquez is not a scrub trying to get in the stat sheet. He's a great player who is a hot head and has no respect for the game of basketball. I guarantee you will never see that shit from one of Sidney Lowe's players. The day you do, come back here and feed me that pile of shit. It won't happen.

I'll never understand people after something like this saying "we should have been guarding him" unless you're the coach of the fucking team. The point is, there is an unwritten rule that you don't show up your opponent. The fact is, he got the rebound, dribbled like he was going to run out the clock, then decided to go down the floor for a 3. Its no different than Lawson at the end of the ACC championship game in 07...except that Lawson actually took more time to think about it before he did.

I'm not defending the team, I'm just pointing out that this shit doesn't happen with any regularity in basketball at any level because its looked upon as disrespectful by almost every coach. There's a reason we didn't defend him...its because we don't act like a bunch of cock suckers, and don't expect our opponents to do it either. Like I said earlier, its not like he was a scrub trying to fill the stat sheet.
