I'm of the opinion that although they get airplay on classic rock stations, Pink Floyd is not rock but their own genre.

I feel the same way about Queen, but for different reasons.

I personally like Dark Side Of the Moon MUCH more than The Wall. Actually, most of my favorite songs aren't on The Wall.

I enjoy a good bit of their stuff, but its kind of hit or miss with me. Some of it I love, some of it is pretty snoozeworthy. Overall I like them, but think they are perhaps a little overrated. Of course, that after listening to them with ears that have been exposed to a lot more music than when their music was first written so its hard to experience their stuff the same way it would have been when it came out.
