Smith would have made 2nd or 3rd team had he played earlier in the season the way he did in our last 5-10 games, but other than that...

This is a stupid article. Lawson has been way more important to the success of his team than Hansbrough. No Lawson would mean Larry Drew II would have to step up. No Hansbrough means anyone of Thompson, Davis, and/or Zeller would have to step up. Which do you see being easier? I also can't believe that there are idiot Tar Hole fans complaining in the comments section of the article that Hansbrough didn't win it. It's not like a player from another team got the award over him. They should be congratulating Lawson rather than griping over their golden boy not winning it again.

Henderson only had one double-double all season, that doesnt equal first team all-acc when you play the foward position. and why are there some many teams, it should only be first and second team all-acc.

^henderson may play SF at Duke, but he is a two guard.

he also averaged like 21 or 22 ppg the last month and a half of the season, which would have led the league had he started that way. definitely deserved first team IMO. not player of the year, but first team.

i don't think it is all that bad to recognize the top 15 guys out of around 140 scholarship bball players in the acc every year, and then the top 5 freshman out of about 36 every year (assuming every team signs an average of 3 guys a year).

Who on our team will step up and be All-ACC candidates next year? Tracy Smith seems like a given. CJ Williams also seems like he could make it on there somewhere if he continues to play next year like he has in these past few games. Javi has seemed to have found his shot and is playing with much more confidence. It may not be too much of a stretch to see him on there next year since so many of the great guards in this league are leaving after this year. I could see Brown getting on the All-Freshman team.

Unless one of our freshmen balls the fuck out, Tracy Smith will be our only All-ACC selection.

CJ Williams is a possible pick for his junior or senior years...but could possibly be an honorable mention last year.

Javi's potential bottoms out at an honorable mention level. Would have to be an extremely weak year for guards next year for him to make it to 3rd team.

Toney Douglas got robbed. He single handedly got FSU to this point. Take Lawson away from UNC and they might have only lost 2 more games. He was 1st team defense and the 1st team all acc behind Hansblow. FUCK LAWSON. I'm biased, but I think Douglas deserved it more.

The games Carolina did lose were actually because of Lawson getting lit up on defense.

Other teams PGs did fairly well against Lawson. Ty Rice eat him up.

The robbier bit against Douglas is that he wasn't called unanimous 1st team All-ACC.

The robbiest bit is the ACC calls people unanimous when they aren't unanimous.
