This is pretty badass.

Check this out....apparently last month Drag City released a previously buried album of tracks from a band who called themselves Death in the mid 70's that was doing punk music in Detroit before any of the traditional punk bands in NY and stuff, and it's opening eyes and sort of flooring people. None of this had ever been heard before.

Here's a single from this band, it's pretty awesome, called 'politicians in my eyes'....listen to it, really love the outtro/fade. There wasn't music around like this around then.

Dude I know, I live the MC5 but that was before this - they peaked in what? 69'? I never said there wasn't stuff preceding it, but their style of music was pretty unique for the mid 70s
