I've had trouble liking Lupe since he forgot ATCQ's lyrics @ the Hip-Hop Honors awards and then didn't seem to give a damn about it afterwards.

ok i'm the one that pointed this out!!!

but i think i am going to go. tickets are a little pricey but i guess it is 2 people so $25 for nonstudents isn't THAT bad. i'm a student though so i got dat $20 ticket. i missed GT at the cradle a few months ago. i forget why, i had a paper or something stupid so i really want to go to this. i think i shall.

may 1 is the same night of the hike? really? is that late? because that is my last day of class at elon as well and normally we are behind regular schools. interesting.

good times. Girl Talk was a lot of fun. People losing their shit, Greg Gillis losing his shit, etc. Lupe was pretty good. I'm still not really convinced that there can ever be a GREAT live hip hop show. I've seen a lot of live hip hop, Clipse was probably the best, but still wasn't great. The dudes next to me were grinding up against each other, one had his hand in the other's pants. Not a homophobe but um wasn't expecting that. Being around thousands of drunk college kids did make me feel old, even though I technically was a drunk college kid as well

sounds awesome

i would love to have gone, but the canes took precedence

that makes two straight shows i had tickets for and didn't end up going

I think something is lost in large venues like that. I've seen some great shows at the Cradle, Local 506, Lincoln Theatre, and The Pour House.

I had a blast at last night's show, but the sound quality seemed awful. Girl Talk's stuff didn't seem to be coming through clearly, and Lupe's levels were crazy loud. Still, I had a blast both inside and outside the show.

The Roots was the best live show I've ever seen...all genres included. Common and Q-tip are up there too. Method Man and Redman are probably in the top 10 too.

You just gotta see the right acts.
