Going to spend next 2 1/2 years near Pisa, Italy.

take trains/buses all over the place, see all the major cities
sorrento/isle of capri especially

I lived in Italy and it was the worst experience of my life. It was Florence, wich is nasty dirty and I had to step over homeless people sometimes to get out of my building. Pisa is much nicer so you shouldn't have these problems- oh wait near. even better. As long as your not in a city- you're golden! There is lots of traveling to do and things to see. One of the musts that I recommend is Capri. There was a hostel there named hermes that is good. Capri is one of the most beautiful places! 3/22/2009 7:30:51 PM |

Orvieto, Cesi, Assissi...Rome of course...Cinqueterre, Torre Orsina, San Pietro en Vale. I got a list of places in Umbria...if you want it PM me.
Everywhere else you can get to in Europe by train
