http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f163/lotus-gt3-sale-70127/

Another crazy ass opportunity for someone. He's asking $88k. It's 1 of 5, and it's the first.

320hp/220ft lbs of torque, 1675lbs. The only other vehicle with that kind of P/W is the Ariel Atom for under a 100k.

That looks like a pretty fun car. You do realize though that you could find a Z06 for probably ~45k. Now while the P/W may be worse it still does 198 miles per hour, 3.7 seconds to 60 mph, 505 horsepower and 16/26 miles per gallon. Not bad for half the price.

I'm talking about a 2006 since the Lotus is an 06

^you will never hit 198 on a racetrack. And I bet you soup to nuts that the GT3 goes to 60 as fast or faster.

And the GT3 is a fucking GT3 race car. It's not street legal, it can't be registered for the street, and it will eat a corvette alive (Z06 or otherwise) on any race track. To race prep a vette would cost you considerably more than it would to buy this car.

Yes, the Z06 owner will go boulevard pimping in his, possibly flooring it when next to some girls at a stop light. The Lotus owner will drive to his IT job and park away from other cars and enjoy how "unique" his car is. He might take a round about pretty fast occasionally.

There are exceptions of course, but most people don't use their cars "performance" abilities to the slightest. There's people asking "I went to 5500rpm in my car today, did I do any damage" on message boards all the time...

Good thing you gave us the heads up I'm sure someone here can take advantage of this deal.

Dude we drive ragged out bmws , porsches, and hondas. What is with these posts!!!11

A brand new rx330 costs more than 95% of the cars people in this forum drive.

That's Porsche w/a capital P. You do drive a ragged out honda though... Joking aside, I'm sort of thinking about my next move already.

You put that roll bar in what 6 months ago? Still no track time, shame your hamsters aren't getting a workout.

Not in the 30 some-odd states that don't offer trip permits. This car is not street legal

Also, FYI for any wealthy lurkers, the 06 GT3 #4 or 5 car was transplaneted with an Audi 2.4l v8, and generates something like 450hp. Only an additional 180k or so

Hahah, so true, my fiancee freaked out the 1st time I hit VTec in her Acura CL-S

She had never even heard VTec kick in, she thought the engine was having issues. Admittedly, the VTec point is crazy high (Only 1000rpm before redline), but I still laughed.
