Hey guys, I am new to living in the NCSU area and am thinking of renting a place in the Vanderbilt Ave. area. Do you guys think it is safe area?

my office window looks onto vanderbilt.

i can assure you vanderbilt is very aggressive and huge.

I live near the corner of Horne and Vanderbilt, so far I've only seen 2 hobos and they've both been very nice and just seem to be wandering through the area to go somewhere else.

Just be sure to check the parking rules on the street, I have a parking ticket that I need to pay because of them

I had a friend that used to live on Vanderbilt. He was walking home one night, and he was attacked. The assailants raped him in the booty hole....VERY AGGRESSIVELY

I would highly recommend living in this area

I lived there for two years. If you're there that long it's about 50/50 your car will get broken into. Other than that if you exercise common sense you'll be fine. I loved the location (walk to Mitch's).
