I live in a house where the modem and router are one one side, I am on the upstairs opposite side of a fairly large house.

I was having issues with playing Xbox360 with regards to lag and connection issues with the microsoft wireless adapter for it.

What other options have you guys used?

The few that Ive come across are using an access point, but I don't know about the compatibility issues with the 360. Another option is using a powerline adapter, do those things work well?

I just share my network connection on a pc that has wireless and run a cat5 cable from the ethernet port to the 360.

I personally bought this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16873999102 . I've read online that people just buy the router for a few bucks cheaper and flash the firmware, but I was too lazy and I wanted to play Live that night.

I was also having signal strength problems, but I made something very similar to this: http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-WIFI-Antenna-Reception-Booster/ and have not had a problem since.
