for 5k

cosmetically interior and exterior excellent condition (it's the regular wheelbase model, not the LWB)

guy says i would need to replace O2 sensors but that otherwise it is well maint.

any pitfalls or things i should worry about? (other than, yes, it's an old range rover)

it looks really fucking nice and i wont be driving it all that much since i havent owned a car for two years now, so i wont have to rely on it

Never buy anything with "rover" in the name, even if it's a dog.

never priced Ranges, and I'm sure they sell for more. That would be a rip-off for a Discovery, though.

optmusprimer is the one to ask on this, though.

Where is that old thread where the garage as a whole warned some dude not to buy one, then it literally was in the shop over half of the time he owned it, and he sold it as soon as he possibly could??

haha, i think you're talking about Str8BacardiL and his discovery. except, he couldn't even sell it because he was so upside down in the loan and repairs. i don't know if he ever got rid of it or not. poor guy.

[Edited on April 15, 2009 at 11:44 AM. Reason : he took it all well enough though, i would have gas+match'd that thing and called insurance]

specifically what year is the classic? that makes a big difference. where did you find it? c'list or dealer?

also, it's never JUST 02 sensors, so plan on more. do you have any other pics of it? check the tailgate and underside/frame/wheel wells/etc for rust.

Dont pay $5k

Thats a '95 from the looks of it. If you want, I can check it out for you before you buy it and make sure its not about to kick the bucket.
