DAIRY PRODUCTS, such as milk and yogurt, ABSORB the spiciness, whereas water only moves it around in yo mouth.

neither of those are really hot at all.

go for some Dave's Insanity for some pretty good really hot sauce or go to any Fire House subs and check out their collection. If you want to sample some, don't try any more than a small small drop or you will be destroyed - especially if you consider texas pete or a jalapeno pepper hot.

But yes, Dairy products neutralize the capsaicin where water simply spreads it around. In cases where you have a whole lot of hot water can make it worse by moving the concentrated capsaicin to unaffected nerve endings

Also the super hiccups are a pain in the ass, but the endorphin rush after they go away and the hot dies down is extremely refreshing

I didn't say it was the hottest, but you can't say it's mild either when talking to someone who referenced texas pete as hot

which is better?

leave the 13w cfl floodlight on 24-7 or just keep using using 3 of 6 slots of 40w lightbulbs as much as i regularly use them...this is for my bathroom

i heard constantly turning on and off a room is worse, but i'd say even with heavy usage the lights are not on more than maybe 3 hours a day? versus like 24-7 with the flood light...what say you brainiacs?

For incandescent bulbs, thermal shock has a pretty significant effect on bulb life and you'll get the longest bulb life (in hours) with a pattern of use that minimizes thermal cycling. Useful hours of bulb life is another issue: if you leave the bulb on 24/7 to maximize bulb life in hours but only need 3 hours of light from the bulb a day, more than likely the number of useful 3-hour intervals of light inbetween replacements will be lower (and power usage higher) than if you just turned the bulb off when you were done with it.

I'm not sure power cycling is as significant in determining lifespan for flourescents.
