Sure he existed. He's not the son of your imaginary god, any more than Hercules really and truly was the son of Zeus. There's a lot of historical fact in the Bible, nobody denies this. The tales of magic and wonderment, however, are no more real than the events of the Odyssey. Schizophrenics aren't possessed by demons, people can't turn into salt or survive in the digestive tracts of whales, and snakes don't take apple breaks with naked women.

As for saying "prove it's false," that's asinine: it is not possible to prove a negative, and anyway, the whole idea of faith is that proof is -- at some point -- impossible.

That means we have discovered numerous ancient manuscripts from across Europe, Asia, and Africa that are consistent with one another. Contrast that with the Qur'an. Also, a good deal of the events described therein have been accepted as historically accurate by academics, archeologists, and historians.

I understand why Christians fight so hard to make people believe in Christ..... it's mainly because they really believe they are saving people from hell. Whether they are right or not, who knows for sure.

What blows my mind is how aethiest spend so much time and energy trying to disprove the Bible, Jesus, etc. They have absolutely nothing to gain, and they come off as huge jackasses (see people like redburn). I mean, I don't believe in aliens or Santa Claus, but I don't go on an epic quest to proove their non-existance. I also think that most aethiests do not fall into this annoyingly vocal majority, but the obnoxious aethiests give the good aethiests a bad name, which in retrospect is tough to do to a group whos premise is non-belief in God.
