I find it interesting that people knew about it an hour before the decision was made in court because it had leaked. Obviously the court system can't even keep things from being leaked out early .

Seriously though, that is messed up. I thought judges were supposed to generally be aware when there was a conflict of interest and to be able to refuse to take a case for just that reason.

Am I totally wrong in my understanding of how most western legal systems work?

^Exactly right actually. The problem is (and I don't know Sweden's legal system) it seems as though it was his choice to recuse himself from the trial, and he choose not to because he thought he could be impartial. Considering he is a member of more than one copyright organization, they could very easily use this to push for a mistrial.

Is $8,000,000 the most ever paid for a .org domain?

According to squidoo, only 10 .org domains have ever sold for $50,000 or more, the highest being $150,000.

Arg, anybody got any alternate tracker sites? I mainly use TPB for downloading shows that I missed on DVRing and aren't on Hulu or Netflix Watch Instantly.
