this show was alright. reminded me of home movies and mission hill combined.

I'd still give this one a chance.

The review I read said that the second episode is much better.
I think this show will also have those funny callbacks to earlier episodes like AD does.

I already like it more than Family Guy.

I think it's ok so far, and it has Kristen Chenoweth so I'll probably watch it when I'm bored and have some free time.

but it's already better than Family Guy.

so, i've watched the first three episodes and I really don't get why people don't like this show.

I really think people need to give it a chance. I mean, for better or for worse, it's pretty much the same style of humor as arrested development. The wordplay, callbacks, puns, and even characters are similar to AD.

Sure, it may not seem as good as AD right now, but I really enjoyed the first three episodes. Maybe people are just upset that AD is no longer around and this is what we get to make up for it. Nothing is ever going to be as good as AD, and this seems to be going for the joke a little more than AD did; for instance, all the breaking of the fourth wall that was mentioned.

It's a different medium, with a few different characters, but it's still pretty genius. Give it a few more episodes--remember, part of the beauty of AD was in the product as a whole, not the individual episodes. I think once there's a body of work to enjoy, it'll start to get a better reception.

but maybe my funny meter is way off.

It will be on Adult Swim soon is my guess. Fox is getting ready to can it. I thought it was terrible.
