I am leaving and selling a bike:
It is a 7-speed French (i.e., actually brought from France) Peugeot bicycle, one of those mechanisms that last forever. Comes with a kick-stand, a cord and a lock, as shown. Nothing fancy, just a reliable horsey to get to and from campus. I figure $25 for it is a fair price.
Also here are some useful goodies:
A dual-valve floor pump with a pressure gauge. Will work for mountain and road bikes. Retail around $20-25, the pump is in a great condition, you get it for $5.
Bell brand lights: front (a halogen / diode combo; diodes flash or give steady light) and rear (all kinds of flashing modes) -- both with bicycle mounts. Take 4 AA and 2 AAA batteries. Retail around $15, you get it for $5 PLUS you get the batteries -- rechargeable for the front, regular for the rear light.
Buy the bike, the pump and the lights together, and you can have them all for $30.
I will be happy to give away some more goodies like a friendly bell, tire changing tools, some leftover chain lube. You can even have my L-size helmet for free (used, but not crashed), because if it is not taken, I will turn it into packaging material.
I also have a crippled 21-speed bike. I am giving it away (i.e., it is FREE).
It's a decent bike, Raleigh SC-30, around $300 retail, used a lot, but still runs. It is missing a seat post and a saddle. You don't need to see me to get it, just come and take it. It is standing unlocked in the bike parking of ES King Village Q-building, marked as "Free bike".
