^^ Don't have NFL network, but I'm going to guess Miami was close to the top.

And since you posted it here, I'm guessing Tennessee was on there and NC State wasn't

Lawson to play all three downs

The News
Niners defensive coordinator Greg Manusky said he expects Manny Lawson to be an every down player in 2009, moving to defensive end on third downs after playing linebacker on the first two downs, according to the Press Democrat.

Our View
Lawson has mostly been a two-down guy in his first three years. This news, combined with the fact that he was playing at less than 100 percent last season, makes him a sleeper in IDP leagues."

good to see manny was doing well. i thought the "manny 50 game suspension" was about him at first. and that seemed like a ridiculously steep penalty for football.

Seems as if McCargo has committed himself again to football, as he's been at all of the Bills offseason workouts so far and looks "in significantly better shape." I hope to god he can turn it around, he's shown flashes, but his back injury last year really set him back.

I wouldn't hold my breath. Brown was a 4th rounder (and not a well-known player at that) which means unless he has an insane camp/ preseason/ season, the Giants probably will be a little slow getting that jersey out. At least that's how it's generally worked in the past with them.

Here is a list I pulled off ESPN. It is news to me that the Vikings picked up Antoine Holmes as a rookie free agent. They still have Corey Smith listed.

Locklear filling in for Jones

The News
According to the Kansas City Star, Sean Locklear will be the team's left tackle if Walter Jones' knee isn't healed by the start of the season.

Our View
This would be a significant downgrade for the Seahawks, but their backs are up against the wall. The feel that Locklear can fill in admirably, but there's really no replacing Walter Jones. To this point in his career Locklear has only played guard to right tackle.

Good SI Article on Mario and the Texans finally getting him a lil help on D.

Quote :
""The biggest thing we have to do is get to the quarterback," said Williams, who had 12 sacks last season -- 10 more than the rest of the starting linemen combined. " "We definitely should be able to get more single blocks, more one on one, so it will help everybody out," Williams said. "

There was a little note about Andre Brown in the NFC East preview for the Giants:

Quote :
"I'll have my eye on the running back competition from the start. Danny Ware wants to battle Ahmad Bradshaw for the right to replace Derrick Ward. But he has a long way to go to win the trust of the Giants' coaches. Rookie Andre Brown could emerge during camp as a key contributor. The rookie running back has won universal praise early in his time in the Meadowlands."

Later in the preview the writer says:

Quote :
"Surprise, surprise: Give me Brown at running back. The Giants were thrilled to land him in the fourth round and Jerry Reese thinks he'll be in the mix for the No. 2 role behind Brandon Jacobs."

Apparently brain clark had a td for the bucs and antoine holmes had a sack for the vikings

Also, hauschka put in a couple fg's, including a 37 yarder, for the ravens

Good for him! I'm glad he was able to just handle PK's instead of pulling double duty like Deraney.

Also, Mario Williams had int. and sack last night.

he only had a sack. 1 of 2 ints in the game came from a m. williams on the vikings. perhaps thats caused some confusion here.

Jerricho Cotchery going to be on Jimmy Fallon tonight (just saw the spot). Not an interview, just some bullshit, but worth noting. Whether its worth sitting through Jimmy Fallon or not to see JCo remains to be seen.
