If you are only looking at the 2 pins in front of him, look more.

i'm surprised a bowling pin would cause that much deflection

japanese people don't have anything better to do than make gameshows and rube goldberg devices? no wonder their economy is even more in the shitter than ours

^probably had a shitload of spin pushing it left but enough momentum going to the right until it hit the pin and gained more traction... maybe that part of the lane was more sticky?

that's crazy

I can't imagine a situation where you would be able to plan a bowl like that. It really did seem like the ball ricocheted off of the pin, but considering how much bowling balls weigh, and the weight of pins....that's seems really improbable.

I guess if the ball was really light, the lane was really oily up until that exact point where the pin was, and the lane had absolutely no oil after that pin, it COULD happen....

I'm going to call bullshit

Chris Barnes does a similar trick shot, but with one less pin. Not as cool, but cool nonetheless.

Shots like this aren't done through practice and skill...They are designed.
Homeboy found out he could deflect the ball and make the pins shoot out into the other lane. The next step was simple; set up pins in the location where the deflected pins would hit them. It's not like this would naturally ever happen in a game. The pins he actually hit are way further out than the pin machine would set them up. They were put there by hand. Very little skill is in use here. There's really nothing to be impressed by.
