looking for crickets and minnows

anyone know a good place? the closer to campus the better.

there is a bait shop on Lake Wheeler just south of Simpkins road. They have crickets and minnows.

there are places near where i live but that is probably way far away from where you live. in n. ral. well it is just one place really and who knows if it is still open. bayleaf live bait and tackle. way way way way out six forks road!! surely there is another place around though.

i am not sure about prices, but you can't miss it. I think it is Lake Wheeler General Store or some BS like that.

sorry to be vague. I just know they have minnows and crickets cause i stopped in there for a drink before.

that's where I go if I want live bait locally... I'd prefer to take a net and catch minnows myself, but that place is good in a pinch

just make sure that if the asian dude is working that he actually charges you the marked price... he is notorious for trying to add money to the total (I don't know to what end, because I know he isn't an owner)

and as for prices, it is a bit pricey, but not horrible... and it is still the only place i know to get live bait, other than blood or earthworms from walmart

yeah, ^^^that was about all yellow pages gave me. i figured there'd be something near lake wheeler.

the worms i get at walmart are fine, but check out this place if you want minnows and crickets (they usually have two sizes of minnows available, but sometimes it is only the big ones)
