but you can only take off so many clothes until you're naked and then you might still be hot. I'd rather pay the money for power and be comfortable than roast and get all sweaty.

We've had windows open and fans going today. We trying not to use the AC during the day this summer. We'll probably use it when it becomes unbearable at night or if we have guests over, but I can deal with being hot myself. I just put a bathing suit on and do the chores like that.

I'm always amazed at the people who will refuse to turn on their air conditioner in the name of saving money, but then go out and waste money on stupid crap like eating out every night. I'd rather skip eating out one or two nights and keep my house cool. You're not saving that much by keeping it hot as balls.

That is one good thing about the house that I rent a room out of...they use the AC a bunch and I am downstairs...when I go home to visit, I feel like I am in a sauna.....

A/C doesn't work in my place, so I have a window unit. I'm going to see if I can go til memorial day before I have to put it in. Last year I set a record: unit went in my room first week of may and was out by labor day. I'm going to try to knock another month off this year and just buy another fan for my room.

it sucks that my apt faces southwest...i get the 9 hottest hours of sun a day...running the a/c in a place like kensington is asking for a 130 dollar bill...living in a one bedroom means i cant split that price up

even on like 76 my electric bill would be like 80/month

Yeah, last year was like this as well. I'd like to see a few weeks in the spring where I can leave the central air unit off to save on the electricity bill, but here we are again. Straight from 30 degree lows to 90+ degrees in less than a week. It's like spring doesn't exist anymore.

Meh, I'm sure we'll drop below freezing here in a week or two.
