I had a cracked LCD. I bought a new one with the exact same model number and I also bought a new inverter. The picture shows up but won't light up.

I will pay 20$ to anyone that can find out what the problem is.
After that I will either fix it myself or post another classifieds ad unless you can do it for a good deal.

Also, I will only pay 20$ if you find out the problem and then I'll pay it after you fix it (plus extra fees) or after I fix it or after someone else fixes it and I will give you something to hold on to if you want in the meantime.

I have to do this because how am I supposed to know that you diagnosed the problem correctly?

I found a place that does free diagnostics so I will post the problem I have on here and see if I can get some estimates.

sounds like you got a fucked up inverter or you didn't install it right

or you backlight hit the dust

Apparently new Dell LCDs use some type of firmware. I couldn't find any with it online either but I got some laptop repair shop to install one. It didn't work with the inverters I ordered either (so they said).
