Our apartment was broken into tonight between 8pm-12pm. We live at university oaks (on Carlton Ave) building 1140. If anyone saw anything....especially a new 42" HD TV being carried out...let us know.

maybe the robber is somewhat intelligent and didn't want to list the exact specs, in case the owner might look on craigslist.

when a potential buyer comes to look at the TV they could just play dumb or claim they made a mistake

It's common knowledge that robbers sell shit on craigslist. if the person doesn't list 100% correct info, or keeps it vague, they have a much smaller chance of being caught

Do you still have the owner's manual? There should be a unique serial key for the tv that might help you prove that your tv is being re-sold online, assuming you can find it on the web. If the criminal is smart, which is a big if, they will wait several months to put it up online.

Hey big guy, I don't know about your particular living arrangements, but if your parents co signed for your apartment, their homeowner's insurance (if it covers theft, which it should) may cover the stuff you lost.
