Do you usually notice wedding bands on men? Does it change the way you act around them? Serious question. I know there are a couple of you here still.

It used to matter when I was single - I didn't take a naked finger as an invitation or anything, neither would I let a ring keep me from mingling, but I would at least know it's a dead end from the start.

If I am attracted to a man I always check for a wedding ring before showing that attraction, that way I know not to cross any lines.

Depends on where I am and what I'm doing. Sometimes at work I will flirt more w/ guys that don't have on a ring

I tried to answer this, but I just realized how infrequently I meet men.

yeah yeah. We all know women, when they see a ring on a man, know nothing serious can come of it.

But they still oogle over him like he's Sean Connery because married men are apparently way sexier than single ones.

Weird, I know, but true.

If I find anyone attractive, male or female, I always check for a ring. I don't know why, it's this weird habit/obsession I have.

It is called wedding band dating. I saw something a while back about it, but can't seem to find it again.

The guy that wrote the article that I saw was talking about using the wedding band, as a single guy, as a tool to pick up women by saying "Well, I am married, so it can only be this once." and shit like that.

i went out with a girlfriend to celebrate her birthday with a bunch of peeps, some of whom i didn't know. (this was august 2007) and one of the girls i did know brought along a guy friend whom i didn't know. he was wearing a ring. and i also knew my girlfriend was married. i immediately assumed my girlfriend was having a fling with a married man and that i shouldn't question it.

once we'd all had some drinks later, the truth comes out. they really are "just friends" but he finds that when he wears the ring in public he gets hit on more and has more opportunity to "pull some ass" (his words, i swear) and that's when it hit me - women are fucking tramps.

I am not looking to "pull some ass", but I haven't noticed a change or increase in the frequency I get hit on during my day-to-day travels since I have been married. 0-0=0

My wife, however, gets hit on more since we have been married than she did before. Maybe I didn't buy her a big enough ring

Men as assholes. Hell, the whole human race is doomed...
Where were these tramp like women when I was growing up?

I've been hit on a few times, but nothing to the point where I'd say I could reel it in and count it as a "catch..."
