Bought this guitar back in December and have barely had time to play it--plays great though. Best/lowest action I've played on an acoustic with no buzzing. Always kept at 45-50% humidity.

My work just went to 4 days a week and pay cut accordingly so I need to come up with some cash or I wouldn't be selling it.

Case, humidifier and extra set of strings are included.

I'd like $500 out of it but will consider offers. I spent closer to $800 after the case and taxes.

Here is one of the imperfections I was talking about.. looks like this edge wasn't really rounded off perfect all the way around:

I'll plug it or you ... I played one of these this weekend and was very impressed.

Someone had one at a gig I was playing at and let me play it. I was suprised at how good it sounded unplugged. For a thin body, it was a full sound that really rang out. It also sounded great plugged in.

It's got good reviews on harmony-central:
http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Acoustic+Guitar/product/Martin/DCX1E/10/1

It would be a good trade up for any intermediate guitar player. I wouldn't mind having it myself, if I had the $500 ... (The price is reasonable too. They are $699 new at Musician's Friend, not including the case. It's very reasonable at anything less than $500.) There are a few other good choices in this price range (I have a Seagull), but this wouldn't be a bad one.

pretty sure I can sell it on eBay for more than $250...but I'll keep that in mind if something crazy were to come up.

Very sweet guitar. If only I had not bought my DX1 recently .

I have a very similar guitar (not cutaway) and just love its sound and action. I agree with BoBo that Seagulls are amazing sound / price wise. However, when it comes to playability, you can't beat the Martins.

I am sure you are not interested, but would you trade for an American DX1 ?

Question: Did yours come with the strap pin on the body or did you have to get it installed ? Mine didn't.

Would you consider $300 + a starter acoustic + a starter electric bass? You could probably even sell those off and make at least $100.
